DIY INFLATING HYDROGEN BALOON

HOW TO MAKE FLYING BALLOONS AT HOME
This video is not only a fun but a great science experiment so educate your children with fun. Generally it seems difficult to make flying balloons at home but it is too simple and fun as well. I basically used a strong base like KOH (Potassium Hydroxide) and dissolved it into water. Then i added small pieces of aluminum foil. So the aluminum reacted with potassium hydrooxide and started releasing Hydrogen gas. there is a key turning point that this reaction is an exothermic reaction and during this reaction the water starts evaporating and if the apratus is not effectively cooled down , the water vapors will fillup inthe balloon and so as we know that water vapours are heavier than air so the balloon will probabbly not take off to the sky. So as you can see in the video that i continuously kept dropping water on the bottle to prevent the water vapours or steam from filling into the balloon. another associated factor is that hot steam and hydrogen mixture successfully inflate the balloon but as the steam cools down the balloon starts getting smaller in size with condensation water in and all this do not let the balloon to fly.
